The next step in detailing is to add the stripes.  Sketch the stripes so that they wrap around the figure.  Also, make sure that the stripes follow the wrinkles of the clothing.  You should visualize each of the individual shapes of the body and make the stripes wrap around that shape.  If this is done correctly, the figure will appear to have dimension.   However, if done incorrectly, the figure will appear lifeless and flat.  Notice the stripes in the next two panels.
