A lot of beginners tell me that they have trouble drawing hands. A little practice with the cylinder and you will be creating any form that you see. Observe how the fingers of the hand can be represented by cylinders. Sketching the hand in cylinder form will help you to develop hands that show depth.
The cylinders appears everywhere. Go outside and practice sketching some trees. Observe the cylinder form in the tree trunk and branches. Practice sketching the trees in cylinder form. Keep your sketching light so that once you are satisfied with your tree, connect the shapes and turn your cylinders into a real tree. Have fun!
